Every broken brand or product fails for the same reason: communication and experience stopped working together. We design both sides at once — the story you tell and the product people use — until they behave like one thing. Whether you're rebuilding trust in a brand or untangling a product that's lost its logic, the answer is always both.
Built to close a gap
WAND started with a frustration. Brands were being built in one room and products in another, and everyone wondered why the two never quite added up — why the promise on the website had so little to do with the thing you actually used. After two decades of watching that gap widen, waiting for someone else to close it stopped feeling reasonable.
So we built a studio that refuses to pick a side. Not because it makes for a neater pitch, but because coherence is the only thing people on the other end actually feel — and the work that matters is rarely the work that stays in its lane.
The name is a small joke we take seriously. There's no single whoosh, no sleight of hand. Just the ordinary, worked on patiently enough that it starts to look like something else.
Four things we hold to
Simplicity is a decision, not a style. It isn't about doing less; it's about being clear enough about what matters that everything else can go. Most of our work is subtraction.
What you say and what you build are the same argument. A brand that promises care and a product that wastes your time cancel each other out. We work on both sides of that sentence at once — identity, narrative, and visual systems on one, flows, interfaces, and interactions on the other.
We start upstream of the artefact. Before anyone opens a design file, we agree on what the thing actually is and who it has to serve. It makes the early weeks slower and everything after it faster — and it's the difference between design that decorates a decision and design that makes one.
Coherence is the deliverable. When both sides pull together, the result isn't a stronger brand or a better product. It's an organisation that finally sounds like itself.
Twenty years of trust
Startups, foundations, and global brands — most of them came back, and several brought the next company they joined.
Proof in practice
Brand and product work across climate, media, health, retail, and enterprise software.

What it's like to work with us
“It was a pleasure engaging with Santosh around the UX for our product. He brought a thoughtful and mature approach, always working closely with engineers without drawing scope boundaries. He was cheerful, flexible and open to debate and feedback. I particularly enjoyed how he innovated to bring multiple perspectives, and helped us think through problems together.”
